Hell
is a vast and Byzantine bureaucracy, its geography similar to
that of the world we know and live in. For every crown prince
of hell, slavering over the Hitler's, Stalin's and butchers of
history, for every fallen angel that dreams of storming in vengeance
against Heaven and God, there is another lesser creature: a slave,
a servant, a being whose entire existence is the endless repetitive
drudgery of hell.
Just
above the mindless drones that perform bone-crushing and thankless
labor, and yet still far below those of any real significance,
the "middle management" population so to speak …this is the rank
of our Valet.
Think
of him as the political science major that dreamed of working
close to the hub of power, only to become the assistant to the
assistant to the undersecretary of the director of the local MVA
office. Yep, that guy. The person whose empty life has been replaced
with the tiny simple tortures of dolling out "just one more" fifteen
minute wait, one more form for you to sign; the one who politely
reminds you that there's no "eating in the lounge" while obviously
snacking on a handful of peanuts; the guy whose single greatest
joy in the world is bringing you the cup of coffee you've waited
over an hour for, just a little too cold, and a touch too bitter.
In
short, he is the stereotypical government employee with ten million
years of seniority.
The
Valet is played by Alan
Duda .
