Dr.
Joseph Garcin,
Psychiatrist

|
Ever
meet that guy that's charming, intelligent, handsome, genuine,
compassionate, and all those other engaging adjectives, and when
he walks away all you want to do is take a scalding shower and
burn the clothes you were wearing? That's Garcin.
Garcin
loves women - or, at least, he thinks he does. He says he wants
to help them, but in reality, he wants to control them. Maybe
it's the remnants of being a geek in high school, an overbearing
mother, or perhaps like many men it's the nagging mental scars
of an old lover. Whatever the case, Garcin is a master of gentle
abuse.
If
you asked him it's certain he'd declare himself a feminist --
that his good advice helps his female patients to become stronger
and more successful. In truth, he uses his position and over-education
to gently manipulate them into relying on him more and more and
more. Perhaps the voyeuristic pleasure he gets from hearing all
those sexual fantasies, exploits, and even abuse is too much to
bear for him -- sometimes he just has to get more involved. And
if that means crossing the doctor-patient line, who can blame
him? He is a psychiatrist, after all, and knows that he's only
human.
Dr.
Joseph Garcin is played by Brett
Estey.
