The
Drones,
Gehenna Union #73
|
One:
Read the description page for the character of the Valet. You,
applicant, are the "mindless drone" mentioned in sentence three
of the first paragraph.
Two:
Multiply the "endless repetitive drudgery" indicated in sentence
two by eons, ages, and the depths of forever, and you will not
come anywhere close to accurately describing the futility of your
pending vocation.
And
Three: Your personality is not required. You will be assimilated.
The
Drones are played by Sean
Eustis and Peter
Eichman.

[The
Valet begins to assemble himself, when the doorbell rings. He
opens the door and holds it for the Drones - the lowest of the
demonic horde, they're the hard laborers of Hell. They're in outfits
like moving uniforms or jumpsuits. They're dirty. They're miserable,
and their bodies show it. He scowls at them, taps his non-existent
watch. They mumble and keep their heads down. They haul in three
benches, shaped like trapezoids. They are all exactly alike, painted
a mute silver color. The Drones, one on each end, carry in the
benches, and place them in a half circle. One of the Drone pairs
puts one bench in the wrong place. The Valet snaps his fingers
and gestures, and the Drones emotionlessly fixes their mistake,
a whole half-inch off. They finish, and leave as drudgingly as
they came in. ]
